METAL ARTS GUILD GRANT 2011SUBMISSION

MAG will award a $500 grant to a full-time, matriculated student showing excellence, potential, and talent in the metal arts. The winner will have their work exhibited in the MAG 60th Anniversary exhibition, and will be given a feature article in the Guildletter.

DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked by May 18, 2011

ELIGIBILITY:

• Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated student in metalsmithing program
• Must be a member of MAG or sign up for a student membership ($20)
• Can reside anywhere in the United States

ENTRY:

• No entry fee
• Submit a CD of Digital Images of 5 pieces made within the last two years. Maximum of 2 images per piece (full view and detail). CDs will not be returned. IMAGE GUIDELINES: File format JPG, 300dpi, 6” on the largest side Name full view images as such: “yourLastName_1_yourtitle.jpg” Name detail images: “yourLastName_1b_yourtitle.jpg”
• Printed Contact Sheet of labeled images
• Entry Form, including: Title, Date, Medium, Materials, Process and/or Concept
• Brief Artist statement

NOTIFICATION: Applicants will be notified in June
