Back by popular demand, MAG is thrilled to present George Post in a one-day seminar, “Craft Photography in the Digital Age.” In this new digital era, the formerly ubiquitous 35mm color slide has been replaced by online applications to next year’s craft shows. In this second presentation for MAG, George will demonstrate straightforward ways to light, arrange, and digitally photograph 3-dimensional “tabletop” objects and also jewelry laid flat. He will explain the complicated world of pixels, TIFFs, JPEGs, and color spaces, and how to prepare digital images for web and print. He will also discuss the ins and outs of online jurying and how to get the most out of ZAPPlication.org and JuriedArtServices.com.
ABOUT GEORGE: George Post is a freelance photographer who lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since the early 80s he has specialized in the documentation of fine arts and crafts. Many of his clients sell their work on the craft fair circuit, and George also sets up his on-site photo studio at five prestigious West Coast shows every year. www.georgepost.com
